Research Platform and Product

       SEIE devoted to building various teaching and research platforms to provide our students with high-quality education and a wide range of research resources. Over the last decade, SEIE has made a series of great achievements in both undergraduate teaching and academic research.

SEIE is well-known for its various teaching platforms. There are 1 major belonging to the first batch of Major Comprehensive Reform Program of the Ministry of Education of China, 2 majors belonging to the Program for Educating and Training Outstanding Engineers of the Ministry of Education of China, 2 majors belonging to the Program for Educating and Training Outstanding Engineers of Jiangsu Province, 2 majors belonging to the Program for Distinctive Features of Jiangsu Province, 1 major belonging to the 12th Five-Year Key Majors of Jiangsu Province and 2 majors belonging to the First-Class Majors of Jiangsu Province. In addition, we have accomplished and achieved 1 project belonging to the First-phase Top-notch Majors Program of Jiangsu Province, 1 Experiment and Teaching Model Center of Jiangsu Province, 1 first-class Teaching Award of Jiangsu Province, 1 second-class Teaching Award of Jiangsu Province and 3 Excellent Courses of Jiangsu Province.  In 2019, the major of electrical engineering & automation has got the accreditation certification issued by China Engineering Education Accreditation Association.

Research in SEIE is organized in three broad disciplines, each collaborating widely with other universities, research institutions and industrial partners. In this way, SEIE has built multiple research platforms. Currently, there are 1 Key Construction Discipline of Electrical Engineering of Jiangsu Province, 1 Key Lab of Motor Research and Application of Jiangsu Province, 1 Key Lab of Special Motor Research and Application of Changzhou and 1 Key Lab of Smart Perception & Drone Application Research of Changzhou. In recently years, SEIE has conducted more than 80 research projects supported by a range of funding resources, including 8 funded by Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 funded by China Spark Program, 29 funded by provinces and national ministries, 41 funded by the city hall and 75 funded by other industrial partners. We have raised about 20,000,000 RMB research funds in the past 3 years. SEIE has also achieved multiple awards on science and technology achievements, including 11 awarded by provinces and national ministries, and 12 awarded by the city hall. Around 126 research papers have been published on international and domestic journals, among which 44 are indexed in SCI or EI. In addition, 35 patents have been authorized with 30 books published.
